Tachyum was a part of the international conference for HPC, networking, storage, and analysis, an unparalleled mix of thousands of scientists, engineers, researchers, educators, programmers, developers, and system administrators who intermingle to learn, share, and grow.

Tachyum was a part of the leading high performance computing (HPC) conference and exhibition in Europe.

Tachyum was invited to participate in the HN Conference Financial Management of Enterprises in the panel “Digitalization as a megatrend and digital tools for effective management”. Robert Cisar, Business Development Manager, spoke about the global chip market, global players, critical success factors - semiconductor giants vs Tachyum, why Tachyum is able to succeed, benefits of the Slovak world-class supercomputer for the Slovak economy and society, and how Tachyum can help Slovakia with digital transformation.

Tachyum was presented at the largest event of the Slovak Embassy in Washington, D.C. aimed at promoting Slovak culture, industry, innovation and tourism.

Rob Reiner, Product Marketing Director of Tachyum, presented at Semiconductor Deep Tech Day, which brought together a community of engineers to discuss topic areas such as Embedded Memories for AI; 3D-IC with Chiplets; RF Datacoms; and Silicon Photonics as well as Health; Printed Electronics; Sensors, MEMS, Imagers, and Displays; Energy Efficiency. It was organized by CEA, a leading global Research & Technology Organization based in France, and Plug and Play Tech Center based in California, USA.

Robert Cisár, Tachyum’s Business Development Manager attended the EuroHPC Summit in Gothenburg, Sweeden.

With two supercomputers in the top 5, Europe is again a superpower in HPC. The next plans are to build two Exascale supercomputers in Europe. It’s not just a question of money. Europe needs its European technology and Tachyum could play an important role here.

Tachyum representative Marwan Oghli joined the ETP4HPC Conference and the General Assembly in Sassenheim, Netherlands, as an SME-associated member. Tachyum was presented as a new member and formally got the certificate of membership handed by Jean-Pierre Panziera, the chairman.

The event discussed several topics such as the Strategic Technology Agenda and work program for the DestinE project, the work program and updates from EuroHPC JU (The European High- Performance Computing Joint Undertaking is a public-private partnership in High Performance Computing), and topics of the DG Connect. Most of the discussions and presentations strengthened the need for European Technology in this segment (semiconductors and HPC) and highlighted the challenges of achieving the proper need for a combined performance of CPU and GPU with proper energy consumption. This is exactly what Tachyum Prodigy addresses. During the networking sessions, several follow-up discussions about potential Tachyum involvement in several projects were agreed upon.

Tachyum has been a part of Autumn ITAPA, the leading conference on digitization and new technologies in Slovakia. The ITAPA events are present for more than 2 decades in Europe’s discourse on digital transformation. Tachyum contributed to a discussion about the vision of the digital world.

Tachyum has been a part of the “When will the computer take over us?” discussion about advances in computers at the Technology Festival ITAPA EXPO. Early computers were as big as several rooms and did about 5000 calculations per second. Now we move into the era of supercomputers that will reach the speed and capacity of the human brain and fit into one room.

Rob Reiner, Tachyum’s Director of Product Marketing, spoke at the 79^th HPC User Forum. The event, established in 1999 to promote the health of the global HPC industry and address issues of common concern to users, was run by Hyperion Research.

Tachyum was a part of Spring ITAPA, the leading conference on digitization and new technologies in Slovakia. Dr. Radoslav Danilak, discussed with other thought leaders about megatrends of the new world.

“Paradoxically, the new world of chaos may be a rare historical opportunity for Slovakia to deeply transform its growth paradigm to achieve greater prosperity, sustainability, productivity and change the region into a home of talent and innovation. Slovakia must choose one domain where it could set the tone. A domain where everyone is on the same starting line. This could be artificial intelligence (AI) and the fastest AI supercomputer in the world that can be built at a price that Slovakia can afford. If Slovakia does not leave its comfort zone and remains satisfied with the average results, it will be in the perception of the world as a country neighboring the war, which deserves credit for helping its neighbor, but has not brought anything new to the world,“ said Radoslav Danilak.

Radoslav Danilak took part in a discussion on the occasion of GLOBSEC’s Danube Tech Valley Initiative (DTVI) launch. The initiative is aiming at accelerating the innovation potential of the Danube region.

Joint statement of the Federal Chancellor of the Republic of Austria Karl Nehammer, the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic Eduard Heger and GLOBSEC representatives was published.

Radoslav Danilak presented at 29^th HPC Connection Workshop Digital. It is an international High Performance Computing event organized by the Asia Supercomputer Community and Inspur Group.

Tachyum took part in ISC High Performance 2022 Exhibition and conference. Rob Reiner, Product Marketing Director, Tachyum, presented at the HPC Solutions Forum on theme “The Convergence of HPC and AI in a Software Composable Homogenous Data Center”.

Along with Slavo Matasovsky, Senior AI Architect at Tachyum, they showcased Prodigy’s advanced AI features with a virtual product demonstration that highlighted its ability to scale deep learning by utilizing low-precision data types and sparsity to optimize performance and memory utilization.

Michal Chovanec, an AI Researcher at Tachyum, explained the definition of RL (Reinforcement Learning), the differences between supervised and reinforcement learning, and training on a reward and punishment mechanism.

He focused on key highlights in RL such as mastering Atari games and defeating professional human Go players with DeepMind (AlphaGo) or applying OpenAI to “hide-and-seek” robot control hard-exploration problems.

Michal discussed how RL suffers from hard-exploration problems in two Atari games: Montezuma’s revenge and Pitfall!, along with implications to robotics and sparse reward tasks. He also gave a critical view of RL publications and his experience concerning what works and what does not.

Tachyum took part in LEAP, a global and unique event for future technologies and the most disruptive technology professionals from around the world. The event brought together the world’s greatest minds; from leading technology corporations, inspiring pioneers from global start-ups and venture capitalists, with the means to make it all happen.

Tachyum was a highlight among exhibits at Expo Dubai with the world premiere of Human Brain-Scale AI Powered by its Prodigy Universal Processor.

In cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Tachyum hosted the event featuring an in-depth discussion on the importance of AI and supercomputers, which will reach human brain-scale AI in 2022
