Bratislava, Slovakia/ LAS VEGAS, Nevada, December 21, 2021 – Tachyum™ today announced it has entered into an agreement with another prestigious university in Slovakia. Tachyum will collaborate with Technical University of Košice (TUKE) on optimizations of supercomputer and power efficient data centers, scientific research, and innovations in the field of Big Data and artificial intelligence (AI). Students and teachers will get access to Tachyum’s Prodigy emulation system for selected projects.

LAS VEGAS, Nevada, October 12, 2021 – Tachyum™ today announced the appointment of Pini Herman as its new Senior Director of Solutions Engineering. Herman will be based out of the company’s Santa Clara, California offices as part of an expansion effort of adding talented design engineers to work on state-of-the-art AI processors.
Herman has more than 20 years of hands-on technical and managerial experience, having successfully identified new product development opportunities and oversaw full-cycle projects that have driven millions of dollars in revenue. He comes to Tachyum from Cadence Design Systems, where he served as Hardware Engineering Architect. Herman previously held management positions at HGST, Skyera, AMCC/MCC Networks and Simulog. He graduated in Electrical Engineering at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Israel.

Cisar has more than 20 years of managerial experience, leading EMEA departments, projects and businesses with financial responsibility in global corporations. As a trusted advisor demonstrating an ability to bridge business and IT, he engaged customers on CXO-level. Cisar comes to Tachyum from ESET, where he was responsible for overall sales for enterprise segment. He previously held business development and service excellence management positions at HP and Siemens.
LAS VEGAS, Nevada, September 21, 2021 – Tachyum™ today launched a new Customer and Partner portal to support the needs of those interested in early access to the company’s Prodigy Universal Processor Chip. The interactive resource platform will allow wider access to the world’s first universal processor beyond current partners who have had access to the Prodigy emulation system.
Tachyum’s Customer and Partner portal is a gateway to resources about Prodigy, the world’s first universal processor. Approved customers and partners will have access to the fully functional Prodigy emulation system running native Linux to perform early testing and software development prior to a full four-socket reference design motherboard, which is expected to be available in early 2022. Customers and partners will be able to test x86 application compatibility and mixed native/emulated x86, ARM and RISC-V binaries. Select university partners will also be granted access to the company’s infrastructure.
Bratislava, Slovakia/ Las Vegas, Nevada, September 14, 2021 – Tachyum™ today announced the signing of memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with two faculties at the Slovak University of Technology (STU), which will advance fields of study in supercomputing and AI-based scientific research. These will help transform Slovakia from a manufacturing-based economy to an AI superpower.
Under the agreements, students and professors at the Faculty of Informatics and Information Technology (FIIT) and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (FEI) will have access to Tachyum’s Prodigy emulation system for selected projects and the ability to work with the latest world-class HPC technology as part of open-source public projects and scientific research activities in the field of AI. The mutual goal of this partnership is to create a new generation of home-grown engineers and computer scientists that can continue the momentum of advancing Slovakian industry and position the country as a technology hotspot within the EU.

LAS VEGAS, Nevada, June 8, 2021 –Tachyum™ Inc. today announced that it has taken delivery of an IO motherboard for its Prodigy Universal Processor hardware emulator from manufacturing. This provides the company with a complete system prototype integrating CPU, memory, PCI Express, networking and BMC management subsystems when connected to the previously announced field-programmable gate array (FPGA) emulation system board.
The Tachyum Prodigy FPGA DDR-IO Board connects to the Prodigy FPGA CPU Board to provide memory and IO connectivity for the FPGA-based CPU tiles. The fully functional Prodigy emulation system is now ready for further build out, including Linux boot and incorporation of additional test chips. It is available to customers to perform early testing and software development prior to a full four-socket reference design motherboard, which is expected to be available Q4 2021.
LAS VEGAS, Nevada, June 1, 2021 – Tachyum™ today announced it has successfully improved performance, density and power consumption of its Prodigy Universal Processor by a process (die) shrink to 5nm (nanometer) feature size from 7nm. Achieving 5nm enables Prodigy to scale at the speed of transistors, not the wire traces, and reach much higher frequency than previously announced speeds of 4GHz on 7nm. It also enables Tachyum to instantiate 128 cores in a low-cost monolithic die.

LAS VEGAS, Nevada, March 30, 2021 –Tachyum™ Inc. today sent the motherboard emulation prototype of its Prodigy Universal Processor FPGA prototype to manufacturing, which, when returned, will be plugged into its recently completed field-programmable gate array (FPGA) emulation Prodigy Processor boards to create a fully functional system, bringing Prodigy one step closer to delivery later this year.
The decision to release the FPGA emulation prototype to manufacturing was made based on successful in-house electrical testing results that Tachyum achieved from its Prodigy processor prototype, delivered earlier in the month. The completed motherboard, containing external chips and connectors, is expected back from manufacturing in early May, and will be connected with earlier prototypes to form a fully functional Prodigy emulation server system available for further build out, including Linux boot and incorporation of additional test chips.
LAS VEGAS, Nevada, March 23, 2021 – Tachyum™ Inc. today announced the upcoming availability of its Prodigy Universal Processor prototype, built using field-programmable gate array (FPGA) emulation boards. The hardware prototype is currently completing in-house testing before being made available to early adopters.
Tachyum’s Prodigy emulation system has been developed in house to offer the best possible accuracy and performance for our engineers to verify the final Prodigy design, and for our customers to begin benchmarking and porting their own application software to native Prodigy code. The hardware emulator consists of multiple FPGA and IO boards connected by cables in a rack. The processor cores FPGA board size is 14.5 inches by 16 inches (368.3mm x 406.4mm). The 24-layer board is 0.110 inches thick (2.8mm) and has 5,948 components on the printed circuit board (PCB) on both sides. The single board with 4 FPGAs emulates 8 full processor cores including vector and matrix fixed and floating-point processing units. FPGA prototypes, with multiple boards connected by cables, allow full-chip, half-chip, and smaller emulation systems ideal for native Prodigy software development, hardware compatibility testing and performance benchmarking.
LAS VEGAS, Nevada, March 16, 2021 –Tachyum™ Inc. today announced that it is nearing design completion of its Prodigy Universal Processor, further ensuring that hyperscale data centers, supercomputer and next generation AI system designers, will finally have the disruptive universal computing fabric to deliver beyond state-of-the-art performance.
Tachyum’s ability to achieve Prodigy’s 99 percent completion with a stable netlist layout and Clock Tree Synthesis (CTS) implemented is a last netlist milestone before final netlist and its tape-out. Tachyum has successfully compiled its Prodigy design to an FPGA emulation, moving it one step closer to meeting its goal of achieving production later this year.
